I can't say enough about the quality of these bat houses from Wisconsin Proud. The moment you take it out of the box, you can tell it will last for years (and impress the bats)! It was easy to put up and we've had lots of comments from curious visitors. No bats yet, but we'll keep it up and let them find us.I also can't say enough about the customer service of Wisconsin Proud. I messaged Matt because I hadn't seen any bats in my cedar bat house and wanted to try the pine version on a different part of our property. The cedar one is in the woods and I wanted to try a pine one near a more open space. Matt worked with me on a special order pine bat house, gave me a great deal and went way, way above and beyond to make sure I was happy. He told me not to give up on the cedar one, because bats don't travel long distances, and may not find it for some time. Some might be put off until the cedar smell fades a bit, but other bats aren't phased by the smell. I think people expect animals to be "products" and behave right away in accordance with our wishes. They don't. Because bats are endangered and may not be nearby, there's no guarantee that they'll make a home in your bat house. But of course, if you DON'T put one up, they certainly won't make a home there.
