I got my dog's Garmin 550 when she was a pup, so I had cut the original neck band a little too short for her adult life. The band would not reach under the second D ring and thus with JUST the right movement her expensive e-collar would occasionally fall off. No good.I found this collar to be a nice replacement. The pink color helps avoid the boy/girl confusion, IMO makes her look friendlier than the all black look, and it makes her more visible when I'm trying to find her along the tree line. The construction is as good as the original neck band that came with the color, and it is nice and waterproof.MOST importantly, a lot of replacement collars lack the extra D-ring that helps retain the collar and prevent mishaps like the one I described earlier. This one DOES have the all-important D-ring.
