Birds of all varieties really seem to love it. Theirs should be the only opinion that matters here :)This is the only flavor my woodpeckers will bother with. I have tried other flavors and it is a waste of money for me. Other birds seem to enjoy it also. This makes birdwatching so fun!!Use the suet as part of our feeding plan for our feathered friends.I bought a single block of the C&S orange suet from Amazon for a couple bucks. It was on sale. It was an experiment. They don't sell the orange flavor where I live. The birds ate it faster than the other suet. In fact, I wrote a review saying they were eating it about a third faster, but after that review was written, they demolished it. It was like they all ran and told their friends.. They gobbled it up way faster than the C&S Peanut Butter and Hot Pepper delight which are the only C&S suet flavors available in my area. They love those but not like the orange. So when I saw this brand on sale and that it had good reviews, I bought a whole box. Wish I hadn't. They won't touch it. The blocks I hung out have become moldy and had to be thrown out. There was barely a beak mark on them. Now, I'm stuck with 10 blocks of this stuff. It's also greasy and not at all like the year round suet I am used to all though they claim it is "all season" or "year round". I'll try hanging them without a suet cage to see if the squirrels will eat them. I take no delight in that because the gray squirrels where I live are greedy. My property is abundant with oak trees and acorns by the millions. They have hickory nuts and tons of stuff to eat but they love birdseed and suet. I've had to hang baffles to keep them off my feeders and really didn't want to train the tastebuds of the newest generation of gray squirrels to favor suet but the birds won't eat it so...Sigh...?Birds are eating it as it all there is, however, rather than 1 "cake" every 2 days, one of these has been out 5 days, more than half remains. Based on checking it periodically, it seems a lot of what is gone has simply melted onto the ground below. Ick.It was cheaper than the C & S I was buying. Prices go up and down on suet, not sure why. Certain brands seem not to be favorites with my backyard birds but they do eat this one. The orange flavors seem to be appreciated by the feathered friends better than some others. I alternate with the peanut version in the brands that seem to be favored more.Pleased that it does not "melt" easily. Lots of little birds plus squirrels enjoyed. My red-headed & snowy woodpeckers seem to prefer the berry flavor. It;s wonderful to watch the birds eagerly come to the feeders several times a day all year.Good but I never realised it came from the USAName, Image and Description all said it was a case of 12. I only received a single item. The description said I would get a case of 12, but only received 1. Not a good customer experience!
