Review of MEEDEN Pochade Box, Tabletop Easel for Painting, Portable Easel Box for Painting.I like Meeden wooden easel products. I have several table top style and a French easel that I often use for acrylic plein air painting. I wanted to build a Procade box then Meeden put theirs on sale and I decided I couldn't make one as nice for that price, so I bought one instead (actually I later made one also, but I am happy with the Meeden). The Meeden Procade box is very well featured and works great as a plein air box for oil painting. There is space for lots of paint tubes, a couple of canvases that can be carried wet or dry (flip one so they are back to back). Very versatile, but not the lightest box around at 10 to 15 pounds loaded (light enough for my needs). I've been taping a paper palette to the wood palette to make clean up simpler that's worked out well. Nice quality box.
